Ruth Munroe

Ruth Munroe

Piano & Theory Teacher

Ruth grew up surrounded by music, and it quickly became obvious that it would always be a huge part of her life. Her education began with group keyboard classes at age 6, followed by private piano lessons (through which she took part in many district competitions and graded exams, including gaining ATCL), and led to her completing a Bachelor of Music, majoring in Classical Piano Performance, from the University of Auckland.

Ruth is passionate about teaching music, and she has now taught piano for over seven years, with students ranging in age from very young to adults. She loves being able to equip her students with the knowledge and skills to create beautiful music. A particular focus of her piano lessons is on being physically free at the piano, in order to enable easy and tension-free technique.

Whether you are a beginner or someone who has played for years, Ruth would love to start exploring the wonderful world of music with you! Book a free trial lesson here.
